We are looking for an exceptional Associate Producer to join our Washington, D.C. Special Report with Bret Baier team. As an Associate Producer, you are a strong producer who has a passion for politics, public affairs, and international relations. You have the ability to recognize stories and elements with high potential for provocative, compelling panel segments and guest interviews that will inform and enlighten our viewers. You are self-motivated, highly organized, and have a strong sense of urgency, capable of working under pressure and meeting multiple deadlines throughout the day. You handle breaking news well—and can deal effectively with last-minute changes and multi-tasking. You are a team player who works to drive the show’s editorial mission each show. You are available to work on special projects and political coverage in the field.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focus on editorial production
- Create banners, graphics, sot-montages, write copy, and on occasion identify and book guests
- Develop pitches for panel and guest segments
- Produce/Edit newsmaker interviews
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- At least 2 years of news production experience on a national level
- Solid news judgment and passion for politics and current events
- Ability to meet quick deadlines
- Familiarity with INEWS, DALET & VIZ
