FOX Entertainment Ad Sales is seeking a Director of Ad Sales Strategy to work with Linear and Digital Entertainment Sales and Partnerships teams in the development of go-to-market strategy and communication plans. The Director of Ad Sales Strategy is responsible for driving the strategic planning process, working closely with sales and sales support functions (finance, research & insights, planning, etc.) to help build a narrative using macro trends (economy, politics) and industry factors (seasonality, consumption changes). In partnership with senior Ad Sales leaders, The Director, Ad Sales Strategy will identify and define revenue-generating initiatives that support the overall Entertainment ad sales strategy. The ideal candidate has the ability to use insights and analytic best practices to support sales in developing prospective client lists and formulate client-centric strategies. The Director, Ad Sales Strategy is proactive, ambitious, eager to learn, and continually strives to evolve and refine data-driven strategies. In addition to supporting the team on deliverables, the ideal candidate will help evangelize the work throughout the organization, proactively meeting with sales teams.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Ad Sales leaders to build strategic and go-to-market plans and ensure initiatives are compelling, well defined, and properly documented to enable successful execution
  • Lead proactive efforts to define and quantify sales opportunities with prospective clients
  • Assist business leaders with analysis, market intelligence, and presentation support as needed as an input to business planning
  • Help contextualize macro trends (e.g. political, economic, cultural) into how they may impact clients or their industries
  • Help brainstorm thought leadership
  • Contribute to annual budget setting process, working across Sales, Pricing & Planning and Finance to inform and develop internal presentation materials
  • Develop high level cross-platform sales materials that weave data and insights into a compelling, coherent Sales narrative using PowerPoint and other desktop design applications
  • Work collaboratively across the FOX Portfolio to support strategic projects to drive Ad Sales growth including:
    • Marketing Strategy: Synthesize brand advertiser client direction, sales strategy, cultural/market trends, and consumer insights
    • Communication: Cultivate relationships, gain trust and respect, and facilitate efficient, transparent communication with internal cross-functional partners

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 6+ years of experience in either strategy, media, research, consulting, sales, or a combination of the above
  • Experience in Media Planning/Buying agency and/or experience working in a TV and digital Sales organization in developing holistic solutions that generate revenue and ROI for brands.
  • High levels of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Exceptional, results-driven, and focused individual, with the ability to employ quantitative analysis to develop a coherent high-level narrative
  • Strong organizational skills – ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to define value propositions and champion the voice of sales
  • Excellent writing skills including presentation development
  • Outstanding reading comprehension skills
