We are looking for a Manager, Data Analytics to join the Fox News Media team. The Manager, Data Analytics will focus on analytics and reporting for our direct-to-consumer streaming product, Fox Nation. The Data Manager, Analytics will partner and collaborate with Fox Nation teams to deliver stable and consistent reporting and must hold accuracy to the highest standard. Analysis and reporting will be centered on content engagement, along with marketing and acquisition influence.

This position will require critical thinking to help drive strategic decision-making through detailed analysis, insights, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to accelerate audience, engagement retention, and profit growth. Analysts must be able to translate digital video streaming data into visual presentations to be presented to decision-makers. The analyst will help produce the required reports and insights to ensure content production teams deliver the best content through optimized content distribution and marketing strategies.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop content streaming analyses that surface trends and performance gaps for the content production teams and marketing teams
  • Communicate performance analytics to key stakeholders and Fox Nation executive leadership
  • Manage marketing analyst to optimize acquisition and marketing reporting while integrating insights into content performance
  • Advocate for a structured content library to categorize content to inform analyses
  • Understand the customer journey to accessing content on the streaming platform
  • Create content valuation rankings in order for content teams to compare content performance across the platform. These valuations should factor in the cost of production, and value of the episode/series performance in terms of acquisition and retention
  • Lead customer cohort and behavioral analysis. Define customer lifetime value, and develop customer segmentation and engagement analysis
  • Maintain foundational reports and forecasting models to support performance tracking and optimization for the Fox Nation team
  • Perform a wide range of ad-hoc analytics studies to identify actionable insights and recommendations for the content production teams to adjust content strategy and spend levels, marketing best practices, and optimize toward a higher quality consumer and improved audience engagement rate
  • Support with daily monitoring of campaigns and content performance, pulling out key trends and anomalies that allow the team to hone in on untapped opportunities or risk mitigation as they build out plans
  • Help structure A/B and multivariate tests, ensuring the structure and tracking methodology is sound in order to product meaningful insights and success measurements

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 3+ years in digital content analytics, ideally developed in a fast-paced streaming media business
  • Proficient knowledge of database applications such as Amazon Redshift and programming languages (SQL, Python) and experience joining across data sets
  • Experience with translating 1st & 3rd party data such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, AppsFlyer, Optimizely, Evergent etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel functions, formulas, VLOOKUP function, and pivot tables is required
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau preferred)
  • Proven ability to construct AB / Multivariate (MVT) Testing approach from hypothesis generation through data gathering and conclusions
  • Experience presenting insights
