The Sales Planning team is responsible for generating, analyzing, and communicating proposals (in Online Display Media and Creative Solution programs) to the sales organization for presentation to Advertising Agencies and/or clients. The Sales Planning team supports the sales process through deadline management and research from pitch stage to sold programs. Planner will work closely with Sales and Marketing Departments and all media platforms for sales opportunities. This position will also need to track any account issues and report them to the accounting/billing department.

The Sales Planner (SP) will have management responsibility to the US - Sales department.

The SP will oversee planning of Online Display campaigns and assist in creative solutions programs for our customers and support Sales to generate responses to client proposals.

Key tasks include, but are not limited to:

● Prioritize work and manage deadlines

● Provide service level management to Sales

● Partner internally with Sales to implement packaging and pricing strategy adhering to rate cards and guidelines

● Maintain the pipeline in collaboration with your Sales team

● Execute budget revisions including incremental spend, optimizations, makegoods, and cancellations

● Collaborate with various departments to help fulfill a variety of client requests and aid Sales in their proposals

● Partner closely with the Ad Ops team

● Communicate effectively with agency contacts to address RFP deliverables and ad hoc requests

● Identify areas for improvement within the pre-sale process and recommend solutions to drive operational efficiencies

● Assist in the preparation and follow-up for client meetings, including the review of industry and account-specific information

● Work closely in partnership with Sales, Marketing and CS stakeholders to develop responses to client proposals (including: recommending a pricing strategy based on an account's campaign objective) to execute campaigns, maximize delivery against contracted goals, and address client reporting needs

● Work independently to review and create customized media plans and strategically utilize inventory to maximize revenue

● Assist in generating support materials for proposals (including: decks, ad specs, and general research to Sales Development)

● Ensure that all bookings are set-up properly and approved in the CRM database

● Maintains weekly meetings with assigned sales partner (Account Director, VP and others) to go review open opportunities, and

questions/updates about upcoming and current campaigns

● Assist in analyzing trends on competitive sites

● Maximize revenue potential for network given marketplace and inventory conditions

● Add all marketing elements to appropriate sales proposals

Essential skills and experience

● Must have at least some proven experience in online advertising

● College degree preferred

● Be familiar with IAB terms and conditions

● Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, Powerpoint, Keynote and other systems

● Ability to work in partnership with other departmental team leads

● Able to work with ambiguity and articulate solutions to several stakeholders

● Effective service level management

● Demonstrable experience of effectively managing team priorities and workloads and successfully reporting these on a frequent basis to the departmental head

● Exceptional organizational and time-management skills

● Confident and comfortable working to tight deadlines, under pressure and on multiple work priorities

● Attention to detail is paramount

● Demonstrable experience of digital marketing or advertising

● Keen interest and/or experience of sales or commercial operations with aspirations to go into Sales Development or Sales

● Understanding and knowledge of using CRM and/or booking systems (Salesforce, Netsuite or similar)

● Able to keep multiple stakeholders informed and updated of campaign progress; able to articulate key milestones and dependencies

● Working knowledge of media agencies

● Able to deliver confidently within a project framework / structure
