About the Team

Cycling Weekly has been bringing cyclists quality news and features since 1891. Cycling has changed a lot since then, and cyclingweekly.com brings the latest breaking news, race coverage, reviews, buying guides and unique features online as one of the world’s biggest cycling websites.

This role requires fantastic organisational and time-management skills, a talent for writing sharp, quality content, managing multiple audience strategies at once including SEO and social, as well as the ability to adapt quickly while working in a fast paced and ambitious environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with content director, digital editor and technical editor to create a clear editorial content strategy to develop and grow Cycling Weekly’s North American audience
  • Write, edit and update copy, including news, reviews, features, and buying guides
  • Commission regular features and develop ideas with freelancers
  • Assist in coordinating coverage, as well as attending, key events throughout the season
  • Champion our SEO Strategy
  • Take responsibility for geographically relevant content on our social media platforms, working with audience development to ensure best practice
  • Support both the commercial and tech team by developing/building upon relationships with US-based clients
  • Attend client meetings with the North American commercial team where necessary
