SmartBrief, a Division of Future, is the leading digital media publisher of targeted business news and information by industry. By combining technology and editorial expertise, SmartBrief delivers the most relevant industry news to nearly 6 million senior executives, thought leaders, and professionals.

As Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships, you will focus on business development activities and partnership strategy to secure new publishing partners, working closely with trade associations, professional societies, and non-profits in assigned industries and verticals. You will develop new partner leads, manage the business development pipeline, and actively pursue qualified prospects, as well as manage the contracting process through signature. Collaboration is key in this role as you will partner across teams (sales, editorial, product) to ensure that new partner prospects are actively vetted for quality, sustainability and profitability.

Requirements

  • Experience in a business development, sales, or consulting role.
  • A keen interest in publishing, media, or advertising
  • Association, non-profit or professional society experience, either in-house or in a consulting capacity, is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, think creatively to solve problems, and work effectively in a fast-paced media/technology business
  • Computer savvy with proficiency with in basic business software suites, including Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and G-suite
