HarperCollins Publishers is seeking a Senior Associate, People Strategy and Development. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic People team in a creative and rewarding industry!
This is a hybrid position based out of NYC.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the People Strategy & Development team as we serve as trusted strategic advisors to employees at all levels.
- Operates as a trusted and credible partner who anticipates employee needs and provides needed supports.
- Participates in implementing and supporting performance review strategy and processes.
- Supports the team in our efforts around succession planning and talent development in alignment with our overall business strategy.
- Remains up to date on relevant employment legislation.
- Champions and supports our diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy.
- Gathers and analyzes data as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a People/Human Resources related role
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with unions is valuable
- Ability to build relationships, easily gain trust and support of peers and clients
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Can shift priorities easily and is comfortable with ambiguity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A love of books a plus!
