Live and Local conversation on the issues that matter to the community.  It’s a key part of the success of WBAL NewsRadio FM & AM in Baltimore, a Hearst station. For 97 years we’ve maintained a 24/7 local connection and commitment to breaking news and captivating talk, and we are now searching for a part-time talk show host who understands the Baltimore landscape and can be compelling, thoughtful, and entertaining.  This person will have a regular weekly program on WBAL while also appearing as a guest host on our high-profile weekday shows.  It’s an opportunity to be a part of an award-winning team in one of America’s great cities.

Job Responsibilities:                                    

  • Part-time talk-show host on WBAL Radio.  Be able to deliver opinion driven content based on a foundation of news and fact.
  • Have strong knowledge base of both national and local topics with an emphasis on the Baltimore region.
  • Deliver content via social media platforms. 

Experience Requirements:

  • Past hosting experience preferred.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Flexibility in schedule with an ability to adjust to breaking news coverage.
  • Audio samples of past work will be helpful.
