DESIGN DIRECTOR: Digital & Print

Location: New York City. This is a full-time position offering competitive salary, healthcare and a benefits package.

a360media, LLC is seeking a Design Director: Digital & Print to build advertiser branded content across digital, social, and print platforms. The Design Director will be instrumental in creating campaign-level work in collaboration with other creatives on the team. Candidates should be adept at producing work for different formats including static images, videos, GIFS, social content, market-leading print pages, presentations, and routing files through the shipping process.

The Design Director should have a deep knowledge and understanding of current trends, how social media platforms are used, and the role digital and print play in the world today. Design Director will strategize with team members to conceptualize around insights and brands as they happen. Proactive, hands-on, and detail-oriented, able to own projects from ideation through to execution.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with creative team to develop and maintain visual aesthetic (e.g., brand colors, textures, treatments, fonts, and other elements)
  • Work across all technical aspects of content production and delivery
  • Clean project and file management
  • Ability to visualize ideas via storyboards, sketches, etc.
  • Conceptualize and art direct photoshoots, video shoots, and help oversee post-production.
  • Following creative directions, as well as offering recommendations for how to best execute work
  • Giving and taking constructive criticism from internal teams and actioning directly
  • Balancing working across multiple projects and workstreams
  • Assist with the development and execution social, digital, and print creative contents

Qualifications Include:

  • 5+ years of experience in a creative design role, within a creative agency, or in-house creative studio environment
  • Strong conceptual and brainstorming skills
  • A portfolio featuring a range of work across channels such digital campaigns, social media, web, print, etc.
  • Mastery of Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of After Effects and Premiere is preferred
  • Deep understanding of graphic design, including photography, typography, page layout and grids
  • Understanding of social media best practices e.g., export settings, file formats, social safe zones, etc.
  • Excellent conceptual and design skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills: ability to maintain and archive your files, and help keep track of evolving brand elements and a large library of assets
  • Clear communicator
  • Comfortable with agile ways of working
  • Highly adaptable, willing to try and learn through trial and error.
