KPTV-KPDX Broadcasting Corporation, owned and operated by Meredith Corporation, is recruiting for the position of Administrative Assistant. In this position, the Administrative Assistant is the primary clerical and support person for the General Manager (GM), Station Manager, General Sales Manager (GSM) and sales staff). This position assists the GM, Station Manager, GSM and Sales Managers in general administrative support, all aspects of the sales process, including good stewardship of client business across all platforms. Also assists Sales Managers with coordination of the sales support staff, reporting, data collection and performance tracking.

Coordinates with the sales support staff the roles and responsibilities to maximize productivity, efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate and manage station functions related to Paid Programming.

Works with the Sales Managers on all vital reporting, data collection and performance tracking. Prepare supportive materials for corporation presentations. Maintain/update Rate Cards. Provide support during Political years including log auditing and maintaining ledger & FCC File. Suite and ticket coordination.

Works with Director of Sales Content on the implementation of sponsorships & station initiatives across all platforms.

Additional administrative and supportive tasks and responsibilities.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.

Education:

High School Graduate or equivalent; College degree preferred

Experience:

1-2 years business experience with significant exposure to clients or customers in a sales environment

Specific Responsibilities, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Train, coordinate & back-up support staff

Must have WideOrbit Traffic experience

Strong Excel and Power Point skills

Possess organizational and time management skills

Must have strong interpersonal skills and high customer service attitude

Excellent follow-through and detail orientation

Accurately compare and verify information

Excels in a fast-paced environment; handle multiple duties simultaneously

Effectively communicates with others (present ideas, facts and technical information clearly)

Takes initiative; effectively solve problems on your own

Handles basic arithmetic, including fractions and percentages with accuracy

Dependable and punctual

% Travel Required (Approximate): 3% within the Portland and surrounding area
