Role Summary and Purpose


As part of the Tech Ops Strategy team, the Manager Strategy and Optimization supports driving the success of Strategic Initiatives including Automation. High-level responsibilities include ideation, business case development, requirement gathering, program management, performance tracking and the rollout / interpretation of a holistic and insightful KPI reporting. This role will also be accountable for leveraging data, people, process, methodology, and technology to instill continuous improvement.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Support cross-functional strategic initiatives from conception to execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leads to identify specific automation use cases and finding creative/innovative solutions
  • Define, perform and coordinate business case analysis; drive prioritization of the automation initiatives based on benefit provided vs. complexity of implementation
  • Support development and communication of recommendations to executive audience
  • Support establishing a systematic process to track the performance of initiatives. Identify key input metrics that drive results, monitor trends and variances to our forecast, and work with the functional owners to identify opportunities to improve the performance and drive incremental growth
  • Identify and interpret trends and variances, understand root causes, and communicate the findings to the operational decision-makers and executive management
  • Support strategic relationships with external partners that support key technology solutions and services with a jointly owned roadmap of capabilities and services, and cost management strategies
  • Manage a performance enhancement culture by actively coaching and mentoring direct reports, providing regular feedback, and developing employees for broader roles and responsibilities to foster professional growth
  • Develop and continuously improve a KPI/KRI reporting landscape that enables and ensures data-driven decision making



• Minimum of 5+ year of relevant work experience in technology research and development, drive strategic initiatives
• Minimum of 3+ year track record of effective staff management along with high energy level, and strong team skills
• Minimum of 3+ year cross-functional Program & Project management experience with strong facilitation, communication planning and problem-solving skills
• Excellent analytical skills, able to develop and enhance statistical modelling and planning infrastructure
• Strong business understanding, allowing you to help develop and quantify strategies and tactics that drive incremental growth
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to synthesize detailed information into succinct and actionable recommendations in presentations for senior executives
• Self-motivated, deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
• Collaborative mindset and ability to navigate and build trust in a complex organization
• Experience leading strategy and roadmap development, execution of Sourcing processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP) and statistical modeling for delivery quality
• Execution-oriented, and able to complete tasks independently
• Experience leading and developing teams
• Candidate must have the ability to collaborate effectively and drive initiatives with cross functional partners
• BA/BS in Computer Science, or Engineering
