Sponsorship Coordinator - NBCU Local Washington

Level: Manager (Supervisor)


Job Duties

  • Manage activation and fulfillment of sports, marketing, community and other multi-platform sponsorships on NBC4, T44 & NBC Sports Washington
  • Work with other departments on the execution of brand integrations and campaigns including Community, Sports, Brand Marketing and Production
  • Ensure streamlined and effective communication between other departments, sales personnel and direct clients
  • Collaborate with Community and Strategic Partnerships to represent sales on station initiatives, including but not limited to, Clear the Shelters, Supporting Our Schools, Men’s Health, Heritage/Diversity Months & Season 4 Giving campaigns
  • Prioritize and manage projects with Sales Production and Brand Marketing team to support sales efforts in commercial production, branded content
  • Interface with sports digital, social and podcast teams on sponsored campaigns, future content plans and cross-platform requests
  • Coordinate the workflows, implementation, timelines and status reporting of all phases of sales campaigns and track revenue generation
  • Lead efforts on creative and strategic presentations, graphical templates and external sales collateral on behalf of department
  • Brainstorm with Account Managers and Sales Managers to conceive and develop ideas for presentations to advertising clients
  • Work with research to present insights of audience trends and market research to sales team for external use
  • Maintain the local and national Sharepoint portal with sales collateral.
  • Collaborate with counterparts at various stations and Skycastle to learn best practices and share locally



Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, related degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years experience/internship in a sales environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Hispanic marketplace

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Willingness to work events, evenings and weekends where applicable

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro
  • Exceptional ability to create best-in-class sales presentations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Project Management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sports passion and knowledge
  • Strategic thinker, creative and imaginative mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines
  • Working knowledge of advertising sales marketplace
  • Experience with graphic design and other presentation software
  • Ability to navigate various departments and personalities
  • Spanish language skills a plus
