The Tech Ops Resiliency Engineer will be part of the Technical Operations Assurance team and will help execute the strategy and various work streams of the resiliency and disaster recovery programs. This role will work closely with various business and technology functions to audit the design resiliency.
Responsibilities
  • Engage with architects for any new product development and audit the architecture against the resiliency controls
  • Engage with development teams and do a thorough forensic analysis of system design and data flows and highlight any resiliency gaps.
  • Engage with functional and non-functional test teams and uncover any gaps in the test suites regarding resiliency.
  • Engage with DevOps teams and analyze the resiliency of the platform, infrastructure, deployments and disaster recovery.
  • Engage with other disciplines such as Persistency, FinOps to uncover any gaps in persistency layer.
  • Liaise with delivery managers, to track progress of the solutions proposed for the gaps you highlighted.
  • Build a functional knowledge of all components and their interfaces within the Peacock and other DTC platforms
  • Staying current with future industry trends around Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity and determining their appropriateness for Peacock's environment
  • Analyze the root cause of incidents and adjust the resiliency controls.


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a relevant field
• 5+ years of experience working in one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong experience with cloud recovery testing (Fault Injection, Chaos Testing, etc.)
• Experience with the DR and BC planning process including facilitating Risk Assessments, Business Impact Assessments, DR and BC Plan creation and testing
• Strong leadership, project management, presentation, and collaboration skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical colleagues and executives
• Ability to understand large complex software systems and their interdependencies
• Expert knowledge and experience of in one Cloud service (ServiceNow, AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong breadth of knowledge of various technology architecture domains e.g., Infrastructure, Application, Data, Security, etc.

• Experience with a digital media direct-to-consumer business highly preferred.
• Certification in AWS, GCP, or Azure a plus
• Experience with the theory, concepts, and real-world application of continuous Delivery (CD)
• Experience with hands-on building and maintaining cloud native applications
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Docker, GitHub, Kubernetes, Maven
