Director of Inventory, AdSmart

Responsibilities
  • Become expert user of NBCU’s ad optimization tool(s) and data assets and help campaign managers leverage them to build optimized media plans
  • Work with NBCU Inventory and Pricing & Planning across Linear and Digital to obtain and clear inventory for all optimized plans to maximize yield and achieve revenue goals
  • Assist in reviewing and approving data-driven linear and cross-platform optimized plans to ensure they meet our internal inventory guidelines
  • Monitor post sale stewardship and deal delivery and strategize best approaches for inventory utilization and yield
  • Partner with Inventory peers to evaluate, assess and implement any/all new planning & inventory management processes, tools, and systems.
  • Work closely with digital inventory leads to determine and distribute forecasting and sizing of audiences to facilitate pricing decisions
  • Continuously look for process improvements that improve efficiencies and share with broader Inventory and Planning teams
  • Handle all ad hoc requests that may surface in a timely, efficient manner.


Qualifications

•BA/BS degree or relevant experience
•5 + years of industry experience
•Previous experience with Operative / OnAir, and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel,
•Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. High proficiency in advanced Excel functionality (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros, etc
•Knowledge of ad-serving systems (Google Ad Manager, Freewheel, Operative One or other OMS)

Desired Characteristics

•Prior experience as Inventory Manager in TV and Digital media preferred
•Familiarity with traditional TV measurement (Nielsen) and digital media math
•Solid understanding of the advertising landscape in terms of how data is leveraged and linked within and across platforms for both targeting and measurement purposes
•Ability to take ownership of open-ended problems and drive them to completion
•Excellent computer skills, demonstrated analytical ability and organizational/project management skills
•Outstanding project and time management skills; comfortable working under tight deadlines
•Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate/negotiate effectively with all levels within the organization
•Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven media environment
