The Product Owner, ITSM will be part of the Reliability & Performance team and will oversee the product and project roadmap for the delivery of the software systems used by the Direct-to-Consumer Technical Operations group to maintain daily operations for the business unit. Such applications include Service Management (ServiceNow), Event Management/AIOps, monitoring, dashboards, etc… The Product Owner will participate in project scoping & scoping, backlog management, requirements definition, and product validation, among other tasks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Be the Subject Matter Expert in ServiceNow, it’s capabilities and features, especially those modules that are currently deployed in our instance.
- Own the end-to-end for delivery of ServiceNow, including project scope, design and implementation.
- Manage the backlog for all ITSM tooling and ensure that stakeholder requirements are being met and status communicated.
- Work closely with project and program managers to ensure that plans properly account for all relevant engineering activities and their associated timelines.
- Develop and provide user training materials to facilitate the onboarding of new staff as well as the introduction of new tools and features to existing tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or relevant experience.
- 5+ years experience as working in Information Technology Service Management
- 2+ years experience in leading the implementation of ServiceNow or other ITSM products
- Deep understanding of the SLDC as well as operating Agile-like teams.
- Ability to advocate for change and influence decisions to support remediation goals
- Comfortable balancing technical and business stakeholder requirements, comfortable with pivoting quickly and relentless committed to quality in all deliverables.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical colleagues and executives.
- Must pass a background investigation
- Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced protocols if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
- Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.
- Experience with a digital media direct-to-consumer business highly preferred
- Data driven
- Ability to understand large complex software systems and their interdependencies.
- Availability to travel as required.
