The Configuration Manager will be part of the Reliability & Performance team and will work across Engineering groups to manage the end-to-end process and delivery of our configuration management services. The configuration manager will work across the division to ensure that our CMDB processes and data model allow groups to innovate quickly and reliability in adherence, supporting automation to improve reliability and resiliency.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing the day to day activities of the CMDB process
- Establish and maintain CMDB standards in alignment with the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model.
- Ensure compliance with CMDB policies and procedures, including collecting and providing necessary information for all internal and external audits
- Participate in incident washup activities and update CMDB as necessary
- Review and approve changes to the CI structure as appropriate
- Assess potential business impact (revenue loss, customer impact, etc…) of all problems are provide recommendation to business on urgency for remediation
- Manage all requirements, user stories, etc.. for all CMDB related enhancements to the ServiceNow portal.
- Provide all data for CMDB reporting as requested
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
- 7+ years experience in Information Technology roles, preferably supporting a large cloud-based platform.
- 3+ years experience leading CMDB activities
- Highly organized and able to support multiple delivery teams simultaneously
- Ability to advocate for change and influence decisions to support remediation goals
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical colleagues and executives.
- Must pass a background investigation
- Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced protocols if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
- Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.
- Experience with a digital media direct-to-consumer business highly preferred
- Data driven
- Ability to understand large complex software systems and their interdependencies.
- Availability to travel as required.
