Summary:
Universal Brand Development’s Category Management Team sets and executes revenue generating strategies that deliver long-term, sustainable return to the company. We maximize NBCUniversal’s content across all ages, product categories and channels of distribution, by harnessing our category expertise to create and execute dynamic category strategies, identify, and manage best in class business partners and select the business models that bring compelling products to fans of all ages.

The Fashion & Living Coordinator focuses on supporting the day-to-day management of licensees and responsibilities for respective categories, including licensee management and quarterly forecast process. Reports to Category Director or Manager.

Coordinator should be a brand champion and ambassador for each respective property and category within the focused portfolio and should approach all aspects of job with a purview of brand integrity and stewardship.

Responsibilities include:
  • Support the category team in the day-to-day proactive management of licensees in Fashion & Living and development of program development
  • Supports VP & Sr. Director of Fashion & Living with calendar management, expenses, travel coordination and securing/facilitating meetings with F&L team members and external partners
  • Works with category team to support in licensee negotiations, contract management process, deal entry to execution in alignment with internal departments Legal, Finance, Compliance, and internal guidelines
  • Assists with building business review decks and licensee contract summaries
  • Facilitate & occasionally lead pitch presentations of brands to licensees
  • Attends Line reviews for key accounts, and works with PDD and licensees to ensure product development is aligned with business goals
  • Coordinates for the delivery of assets and information to existing and prospective partners
  • Creates and maintains product boards by retailer (confirmed placements), collects sell-in information and POS reports from licensees and keeps data organized for easy access
  • Maintains and keeps current licensee lists and contact lists for Category and Retail teams on each brand
  • Supports Category team in quarterly forecast process/communication and follow up with licensees, troubleshoots any forecast entry errors to ensure accurate information is forecasted appropriately
  • Works with Compliance to ensure Product Safety protocols are followed and works with Compliance team to streamline communication and timely approvals
  • Supports category team with marketing materials approvals from licensees and routes for approval in internally (brand managers, legal, PR, franchise). Create approval trackers to ensure and document feedback and timing
  • Serve as the point person on marketing approvals through our online submissions system


Qualifications/Requirements:
• 1 - 3 years of experience in a highly visible sales function within one of the following industries – Entertainment, Licensing, Consumer Products, Retail, Apparel/Home. Will consider new graduates with related internships.
• Technical skills: Strong MAC skills including Keynote. Office essentials including PowerPoint, Excel, Word. Photoshop or Illustrator experience is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skill, strong time management skills
• Strong organizational skills with key attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Driven and goal oriented – ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial and fast paced environment
• Able to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines
• Strong relationship building skills, flexible and adaptable; able to collaborate
• Strong willingness to learn, a team player and good listener. Self-starter; problem solver
• Pro-active, forward thinking
• Bachelor’s degree
