Lifestyle Editor, E! Online (Contract)

Level: Manager (Supervisor)

Duration: Contract

E! News is looking for a self-motivated team player to join the digital team in growing our lifestyle content. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the entertainment space and be a master in all things pop culture, specially focusing fashion, beauty, wellness and fitness. The Lifestyle Writer, E! Online, will be responsible for writing and self-publishing up to 3-5 daily stories in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom.
  • Identify gaps in coverage, pitch write and edit original lifestyle content, focusing on fashion, beauty, wellness and fitness
  • Research trending stories in the lifestyle spaces ranging from Google to TikTok—and execute stories around those trends
  • Monitor breaking news stories and pitch follow-ups that are relevant to the brand
  • Write SEO and social media friendly headlines and copy


• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
• 4+ years’ experience in a deadline writing environment, ideally in entertainment news
• Proficient in social media and SEO and a clear understanding of how the two influence one another
• Candidates need to be flexible, willing to work weekends and evenings at times depending on the news cycle.

• Excellent writing skills that align with the E! voice
• Hard-working, dedicated and detail-oriented
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment within a competitive 24/7 breaking news cycle
• A blend of collaborative skills as well as being an independent self-starter
• Effective communication skills and experience working across multiple departments
• Must love pop culture and all things entertainment
• Strong news judgment with the ability to balance quality and quantity
