Role Summary:
Develop the strategy for innovative media plans for theatrical, PVOD and Peacock Original and Day & date releases to deliver best possible ROI in a fast paced and evolving media landscape. Primarily focused on translating the agreed upon media strategy, as outline by the plan, into executed media campaigns in the market.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Media Plan Development and Plan Execution
  • At planning kick-off, works with the SVP and team to build the overall media strategy and then is responsible for ensuring all elements deliver on that strategy.
  • After reviewing agency submitted media plans, deeply reviews the plan content, captures team feedback and communicates to the agency.
  • Manages all agency plan check-ins.
  • Confirms that all media decisioning delivers on the media plan’s overall audience strategy.
  • Ensures all Multicultural recommendations are considered for the plan.
  • Stays in contact with the creative executives throughout the planning process to ensure that the media and creative objectives align.
  • Maintains direct contact with the Canadian team to ensure that the Canadian team has an ongoing view of the Domestic media strategy.
  • Post plan presentation and approval by President of Marketing, finalizes all plan details following the approved strategy. Has approval responsibility for all elements that are under $500K and reflect strategy without a meaningful change to media mix or timing. Elements that don’t meet those thresholds require consultation with SVP.
  • Approves network schedules and changes as well as streaming video plans.
  • Prepares and presents key media highlights at T-8s and T3.5s.
  • Represents media at Peacock meetings as either primary or SVP back up representation.
  • Ensures that all audience targeting media executions meet our strategy and align with best practices for the platform. This includes approval of CAP docs and other digital campaign platform structures.
  • Provides leadership, mentorship, learning and growth opportunities for the media team.
  • Participate in ongoing department DEI efforts to continue to establish a cohesive, inclusive environment.
  • Approve all agency POs.


Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of media planning experience (agency and/or client)

• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced protocols if the Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.

Desired Characteristics
• Experience with developing and executing cross-platform media campaigns (linear media, digital video, digital display, programmatic and social)
• Experience managing multiple team members and collaborating with other marketing disciplines and agency partners
• Excellent presentation skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience creating campaigns for entertainment properties and/or a passion for movies.
• The ability to manage through a frequently changing media and film marketing landscape.
• Outstanding organizational, analytical and leadership skills.
