Level: Manager (Supervisor)


The Technical Artist is responsible for creating Virtual Sets and Augmented Reality in Unreal for different productions and client groups within Telemundo Enterprises.

Job Duties
  • Collaborates with Technical Artist(s), Real Time Graphic Specialists, Technical Artist(s), Creative Directors, Designers, and Engineers in a collaborative, product-driven environment using modern technologies
  • Responsible for the creation & development of Real-Time Graphics using Unreal Engine tools
  • Oversees modeling, lighting, and rendering to achieve a photorealistic Virtual Set(s)
  • Provides support in the creation of blueprints & virtual production workflow
  • Produces high quality & photorealistic PBR materials and all associated assets
  • Works under the direct supervision of the Manager, Real Time Graphics and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned as needed


Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working with augmented reality and virtual sets.
• Bachelor's degree in Art, or related field or equivalent work experience
• Proven technical and visual understanding of 3D
• Working knowledge of Unreal, Maya, Photoshop or equivalent tool with a core understanding of the inner workings of the tool.
• Must be able to provide portfolio/website demonstrating technical artist ability that includes Unreal based work
• Fluent English (both written & verbal)

• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Desired Qualifications

• Fluent English and Spanish (both written & verbal) preferred
• Plug-in writing skills or understanding of C++ / Unreal Blueprint strongly preferred
• Exceptional communication, time management, analytical and organizational skills
• Self-starter who exhibits ownership on assigned tasks and who will push for solutions that solve immediate problems while building towards long-term goals
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, dead-line driven environment
• Accustomed to working in a team and collaborating with all levels within the organization
• Ability to build rapport with clients and manage expectations
• Ability to effectively be flexible in approach, and respond well to pressure
• Ability to lead and direct others, promote positive work environment and problem solve
• Process oriented, good at identifying and implementing best practices
• Change agent; creative and adaptable when facing challenges
