Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Editorial & Social Media Manager to oversee daily news production, lead our social media presence, and contribute compelling editorial content for our digital publication.
This is an ideal opportunity for a professional with at least 3–4 years of experience in journalism, marketing, communications, or public relations who thrives in a dynamic B2B publishing environment. The ideal candidate has excellent news judgment and knows how to present each story across channels to maximize impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily News Production
- Coordinate with reporters and editors across the newsroom to publish stories, schedule articles for the daily email newsletter and manage the branded content publication calendar.
- Write compelling headlines and newsletter copy that drives open rates and click-throughs.
- Track performance metrics and recommend improvements to increase reach and engagement.
- Write news and breaking news items, as needed
Social Media Management
- Curate the homepage and social channels with a lively mix of breaking news, features, columns, thought leadership and videos.
- Create and manage both paid and organic social campaigns
- Develop, implement, and refine social media strategies that build connections, encourage community and grow our audience and deepen engagement across LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, and other relevant platforms.
- Develop and maintain content calendars
- Manage the day-to-day operation of our social media accounts, including creating, scheduling, and posting content.
- Monitor performance analytics, generate reports, and optimize content based on data-driven insights.
- Engage with our online community by responding to comments, inquiries, and relevant trends.
Collaboration & Strategy
- Work closely with the editorial, marketing, and design teams to align content strategies with broader business goals.
- Contribute ideas for special editorial projects, campaigns, and partnerships.
- Ensure timely project delivery, report on project status, and handle requests from other departments with appropriate follow-up.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–4 years of professional experience in editorial writing, social media management, digital marketing, or content creation for a media outlet or B2B publication.
- Proven experience managing corporate social media platforms and building engaged audiences.
- Proficiency in social media management tools, such as Sprinklr, Later, Hootsuite, and SproutSocial
- Comfortable with content creation apps and software, such as Canva, CapCut, InShot, and native platform creator suites
- Strong writing, editing, and headline-crafting skills with a sharp eye for detail.
- Proficiency with social media analytics and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor).
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced editorial environment.
- Experience working within project management platforms, such as Asana, Google Workspace, and Notion
- Responsive and effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines within daily time constraints.
