As our new Marketing Coordinator, you will support the Academic Marketing team in developing and implementing marketing strategies across subject lists, under guidance and based on departmental goals and objectives. You will also support managers across the team on campaign implementation. Marketing Coordinators help to develop and implement strategic marketing plans, use data to inform target areas, develop understanding of their subject area, create campaign plans, monitor social media, develop/procure engaging content, attend conferences to gain market knowledge and provide regular reporting and analysis among many other duties! Success in this role will be monitored against, usage, engagement and society and author happiness!

You will be communicating with people internally and externally, including books, journals and online editorial staff, representatives across the marketing division and other administrative functions as well as key societies, authors, external journal editors, suppliers and new outlets and journalists.


  • Strong understanding of, and experience in, marketing
  • Understanding of, and experience in, marketing to a range of audiences
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven effective communication with external and external customers – negotiation and influencing
  • Experience in publishing (preferable)
