Fairchild Media: West Coast Account Director
Fairchild Media, publisher of WWD, Beauty Inc, Footwear News, and Sourcing Journal is seeking a sales director with digital-first experience and relationships in technology to manage our West Coast territory out of San Francisco for WWD and Footwear News.
WWD & FN’s West Coast Account Director will lead sales efforts across our digital, video, social, virtual/live events, and print platforms. We are seeking a seller with digital-first selling experience and the ability to sell integrated programs to both B2B and B2C partners.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with relationships with key tech clients on the West Coast, deep digital experience, excellent communication skills, creative thinker, and energetic seller who is confident and comfortable calling on all levels at both the client and the agency.
- Digital-first sales experience
- Relationships with senior clients in the tech category
- Ability to create big ideas and drive sales across all platforms
- Ability to call on all stakeholders, including client, agency, PR teams
- Approach clients with solution-based sales strategies
- Ability to grow business and develop new revenue opportunities
- Perform well in a competitive sales environment
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong negotiation skills
- Must be flexible and move quickly when opportunities strike
- Prepare proposals via the RFP process
- Maintain constant contact with client before, during, and after the sale to establish and positively manage the business relationship
- Work across the FMG and with our partners at PMC corporate
