Job Description:

Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter have an immediate opening for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Assistant Photo Editor to join their photo department. Assistant Photo Editor’s primary responsibility will be supporting the photo departments across both brands that includes prepping images for social & web, coordinating contracts processing invoices, setting up new vendors in Salesforce, working with AP and Finance to make sure vendors are paid in a timely manner. Supporting producers with photo shoot production, attending photo shoots. THR & Billboard operate on a news cycle and requires an individual who can respond quickly to requests and at times prioritize multiple tasks at once. We cover subjects ranging from breaking entertainment and music news, business stories, celebrity editorials and much more. The position will be working closely with the Billboard photo department, which is based in New York, and the THR photo department, which is based In LA.

Qualifications

  • Passionate about photography with strong attention to detail
  • 1+ years of editorial photography experience (internships count)
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for image corrections
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure handling multiple projects
  • WordPress, Photo Mechanic, bridge experience a plus
  • An interest in entertainment and music preferred
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
