Footwear News: News Editor.
Footwear News, the shoe bible, is hiring a dynamic news editor to report on fashion, retail and the business of the shoe industry.
The News Editor will write 3-4 news stories a day about the issues and people shaping the footwear, fashion and athletic industries. Coverage areas include executive moves, retail and e-commerce trends, company financials, marketing, social media and technology.
Qualifications:
- 2 years in digital media at a fashion or business website
- A news junkie who loves getting the story and leading the conversation
- An ability to mine Google trends and social media to identify unique angles that align with our business and consumer audiences
- An ability to navigate multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with SEO, Word Press and Photoshop
