We have created a marketplace where, on the one side, we have completely reimagined how 400,000 New Yorkers discover and experience the most memorable moments of their lives. On the other side, we empower incredible local businesses, artisans and entrepreneurs.

We are looking for a Content Manager to join a small team of highly-skilled professionals whose focus is on bringing more users and businesses onto the pulsd platform. This is a cross functional role that includes writing, social and design.

We are New Yorkers who are all about New York City. Current partners include hundreds of local businesses, all the way up to mega brands such as Tao Group, Union Square Hospitality, Bluebird London NYC, Peloton, Skin Spa, Eataly, The Bowery Hotel and many more.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and produce content across all platforms [web, app & social] that cover the biggest events, restaurants, fitness/wellness studios and spas to inspire 400,000 New Yorkers to try new things in New York City.
  • Work with the Business Operations team to build email, social and other acquisition strategies to reach a wider audience in New York City.
  • Work with the Business Development team to optimize performance across pulsd’s main verticals - events, restaurants, fitness/wellness, spas, and hotels.
  • Develop offers/branded content to support pulsd’s native advertising business.
  • Organize and maintain editorial calendars to ensure deadlines are being met and performance goals are being achieved.
  • Be an authority on the New York City hospitality and entertainment scene.

Requirements:

  • Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field from a leading university or liberal arts college.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a professional lifestyle writing, editing & publishing.
  • Experience working with social media to support content and growth initiatives.
  • Stylish, creative prose that captures the pulsd brand and resonates with our audience.
  • Comprehension of standard grammar (AP Style preferred).
  • Excellent attention to details and self-editing skills.
  • Be comfortable with numbers and weekly performance reporting.
  • Must have a command of Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator preferred, as you will be required to create/edit marketing materials and edit photos.
  • Must have an eye for great photography, and some experience in photography.
