Homelessness is the largest social and public health crisis in California. Illumination Foundation (IF) is a growing non-profit organization dedicated towards disrupting the cycle of homelessness by providing targeted, interdisciplinary services in our recuperative care centers, emergency shelters, housing services and children's and family programs. IF currently has 13+ facilities with 22+ micro-communities scattered across Orange County, Los Angeles County and the Inland Empire.
Job Description
The Social Media and Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for carrying out Illumination Foundation’s marketing and communications initiatives to increase awareness of Illumination Foundation’s brand, mission, and outcomes.
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Create, post, and monitor social media messages to grow engagement
Maintain social media calendar
Ability to create all event marketing materials including flyers, signage, invites, and event program
Manage and update Illumination Foundation website and campaign websites as needed
Manage brand identity on all platforms. Ensure brand is used and implemented internally
Collaborate with marketing and other professionals to coordinate brand awareness and marketing effort
Liaise with external vendors and contractors to create printed and digital materials
Create content for Illumination Foundation’s social media, events, blog, website and video
Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, TV etc.)
Assist in creating, ordering & inventory all of Illumination Foundation Swag and branded materials
Assist with planning and implementing marketing, fundraising
and community engagement events, campaigns and projects
Undertake individual tasks of a marketing plan as assigned
Compile, edit, and compose external communication and update distribution lists
Oversee monthly volunteer and donor newsletter process
Oversee internal staff engagement projects and events.
Implement internal communications including weekly update emails and updates to the employee portal
Create internal communication and marketing content
Support with Illumination Foundation events and galas
Represent Illumination Foundation at community and volunteer events.
Cultivate and build relationships with Directors, Managers, and site staff to ensure effective communication of our programs
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications
Preferred Experience/ Minimum Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in marketing or related field
Exceptional communication and writing skills
Google Analytics 4 and Hootsuite Analytics experience required.
Advanced level of computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Chrome, Canva, and marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Squarespace & CRM a plus)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends
