Responsibilities and Duties
The digital marketing specialist must be a good planner and forward thinking. He/she will have to communicate with other members of staff and must be able to do this effectively to ensure the right information is passed across to other team members in the best manner possible. Reports directly to and presents workable recommendations to the Director of Digital Marketing.
· Drive and build email programs for clients using the email platform Maropost
· Make strategy recommendations for future marketing campaigns/donations based on metrics, analytics, and optimization
· Proactively identify and take advantage of current events and public opinions to further the issue/policy and fundraising goals of clients
· Drive and assign all email, petition, survey, poll and landing page content
· Proofread emails and associated content for clarity, grammar, and spelling
· Load all email creative into email system
· Create all engagement devices and donation landing pages
· Coordinate emails and approvals with clients and account executives
· Segment and deploy all email campaigns, and troubleshoot as needed
· Create and maintain warm-up series/activation series that are individually relevant to the source of new email addresses
· Work with AE’s and copywriters for efficient communication and consistent branding and messaging between the postal program and email program
· Ensure CAN-SPAM rules are followed
· Create and maintain reports on email deployment metrics and produce reports with useful context for clients while providing information on programs and compliance to ATA management
· Learn how to append postal lists to pull out a digital list for new clients
· Manage and maintain the postal lists across clients in the ESP program
Miscellaneous
· Be available as a resource for Senior Staff who need assistance completing other projects
· Act as liaison with accounting team in regard to ATA billing and accuracy of housefile disbursements
· Direct digital meetings and phone calls
Required Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor’s degree in related field. (Diploma/Certificate may also be acceptable)
2+ years of experience
Ability to multitask and to remain functional under intense pressure
Strong time management and organization skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
HTML and CSS
CMS experience
Desired Qualifications / Skills
HTML 5 and CSS 3
Responsive / mobile friendly Coding Experience
Drupal and CiviCRM
Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.)
Handle digital analysis and web metrics duties
Understanding of digital production and marketing strategies
Experience in innovative digital campaigns
Experience managing micro sites, social media applications, and online ads
Understanding of social media marketing
Basic Knowledge of fundraising compliance
Political Campaign experience a plus
