What you will be doing as a GIS Developer:
Work closely with the engineering team to conceive, develop, and maintain geospatial applications.Apply your expertise in Full Stack development to create intuitive interfaces and engaging features, ensuring a seamless user experience and accessibility.Integrate GIS data into the application to deliver precise location and vital geographic details to usersCollaborate with GIS experts and data analysts to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and promptness of geospatial data utilized in the application.Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging to pinpoint and resolve any issues or inconsistencies in the application's functionality.Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in geospatial technology, integrating pertinent innovations into the development process to amplify the application's capabilities.Offer technical support and troubleshooting guidance to internal and external stakeholders, guaranteeing the smooth operation and upkeep of the geospatial application.
What you will bring to the table as a GIS Developer:Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.Demonstrated proficiency as a Full Stack Developer, showcasing a robust portfolio in web development technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and contemporary Front End frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).Familiarity with geospatial concepts and technologies, encompassing Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial data analysis, and mapping APIs (e.g., Google Maps API, Mapbox).Experience handling geospatial data formats (e.g., GeoJSON, KML) and spatial databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, MongoDB).Expertise in version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).Proficient problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail, capable of dissecting complex requirements and translating them into streamlined and scalable software solutions.Excellent communication and teamwork skills, adept at collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
