FLOOR Trends & Installation Advertising Sales Representative: Territory is west of Mississippi. Candidates located in this territory will be considered first.
Candidates with experience in B2B publishing sales preferred.
FLOOR Trends & Installation offers insights and best practices for the selling, specifying and installing of floors in residential and commercial spaces. Our 360-degree coverage examines the design, technological innovations and marketing strategies impacting every area of the flooring business for retailers, distributors, architects, designers, installers, facilities managers, builders and remodelers. We initiate conversations about the future of our industry through videos, podcasts, eNewsletters, webinars, continuing education, and a monthly eMagazine. Generate sales of digital media products. By providing customer service to clients and building relationships with current advertisers, agencies and prospects.
Responsible for growing all digital advertising revenue, including eMagazine, websites, eNewsletters, webinars, social media, digital edition sponsorships, custom content and all other products offered by the brand.

Responsible for growing all digital advertising revenue, including eMagazine, websites, eNewsletters, webinars, social media, digital edition sponsorships, custom content and all other products offered by the brand.
Responsibilities Include:
Sell and service all accounts in designated territory, including current, lost business and developing new business contacts and advertising opportunities within those companies.
Identify the specific needs of your customer’s and develop integrated marketing strategies and proposals including all digital products that uniquely support their marketing objectives.
Reach monthly activity goals (face-to-face sales calls, emails and phone calls) and attain monthly revenue goals.
Follow up on all leads assigned to you within 24-48 hours by email and/or phone.
Keep LaunchPad database up to date with call notes, tasks and contact changes/additions. Attach related documents (e.g. proposals, presentations, insertion orders) and all relevant emails in LaunchPad.
Travel to trade shows, industry events and in person meetings. Organize business travel to gain maximum value from travel dollars in order to help control/ reduce selling costs
Be proficient with electronic ad terminology, the variety of digital products that are available and how they are used by the brand’s audience.
Monitor the brand’s magazines, website, eNewsletters and social media regularly to identify topics that may relate to advertisers and/or potential new business and promote that coverage to all potential interested advertisers and prospects.
Communicate with publisher and editorial staff ideas and concerns, customer and competitive information. Provide input on marketing ideas and new ideas for customers and content.
Provide production/scheduling assistance with all details of advertising for upcoming issues, including customer-signed or generated paperwork/I.O’s. Provide special materials instructions as needed to Production Manager by specified deadlines.
Have all insertion orders in writing. Provide information (insertion orders, position requests, directions on materials, etc.), counsel and suggestions when needed and as necessary to the production department, credit department, buyers guide department, Internet department, or other involved departments to help achieve a successful, accurate, and on-time delivery of all issues and products.
Make sure P&A list is kept up-to-date and accurate by reviewing regularly.
Review and track all competitive publications, websites, enewsletters and social media accounts for prospective new accounts and new advertising from existing accounts. Always send a proposal and media kit to advertisers running in competitive magazines that are not running with the brand.
Keep up with industry news and be knowledgeable with your customers about their business and current projects & product launches.

Job Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal presentation/communications skills.
- Proficiency with electronic ad terminology and the variety of digital and e-products available
- College degree or equivalent in work-related experience.
- 5 years of experience in media and digital advertising sales.
- Experience with a strategic and analytical sales approach
- Travel to industry trade shows.
- B2B advertising sales experience is a must.
- Goal-oriented and desire to exceed revenue targets.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal guidance
- Proficiency in Microsoft, including WORD & Excel is required and experience with CRM applications (i.e. LaunchPad CRM) is beneficial.
