Keyduties of the position include:Leverage Salesforce to managecustomer relationships, interactions, leads and opportunities to demonstratean accurate pipeline.Developnew relationships and business for Kohler to meet and exceed sales goals.Conduct daily follow up with customers,quotes and leads to generate and close business.Engage in strategic outreach to developand grow the client base.Network with the professional trade through involvement inassociations, meetings and events; including in-store events.The Design SalesConsultant leverages top-notch customer service skills to deliver a graciouscustomer experience and achieve strong results. Successin the position will be measured through the achievement of Net Order and NetSales goals. Additionally, team success will be measured through store NetPromotor Score (NPS).TARGETSDrive sales to meet and exceed individual and team salesplans:Provide high quality customer service toscheduled appointments and walk-in trafficConduct daily follow-up on outstandingquotesDevelop and execute marketing plans tocurrent and potential customer baseParticipate in planning and execution ofin-store eventsUnderstands how to win as a team and brings forth a team mentality
Develop repeat sales, new relationships,and future business:Create a strategic sales plan and detailed tracking of customerinteractions, quotes, and opportunities.Conduct outside sales calls, with afocus on targeted top-selling and high-potential accounts, marketing newand featured productsFollow up on leads to generate newbusinessNetwork with the professional tradethrough involvement in associations, meetings and events
Deliverexceptional customer service:Provide prompt and friendly service to every customer that walksinto the store.Follow up on all sales to ensure customer satisfaction and serviceare metMaintain a well-organized and aesthetically pleasing environmentUnderstands balance between providingexceptional customer service and doing the right thing for Kohler Co.Drives repeat customers by going aboveand beyond to connect with customers in a meaningful and personal way
Administersales process to ensure timely and accurate completion of all sales:Process quotes and sales paperworkPartner with Kohler Customer Care teamto track orders for customers and ensure quality service
Continuallydevelop sales skills and product knowledge:Brings in a continuous improvement mindset by challenging status quo in a productive manner, and making recommendations for process improvementsDevelop detailed knowledge of all product lines and featuresParticipate in training activities,including product knowledge presentations and online learning, tosupplement product knowledgeComplete training courses to continually develop and honepresentation, negotiation, and sales skills.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTSSupervisoryRelationships:Reports to the Store ManagerOrganizationRelationships:Frequent contact with showroom sales staffFrequent contact with home office functional staff, including customer service, administrative support, purchasing and marketing personnel
ExternalBusiness Relationships:Frequent contact with customers, including architects, designers and end-user specifiers.
Skills/RequirementsMinimum of 4 years prior sales experience required,in a high-end sales / service industry preferred. A track record ofconsistently meeting or exceeding sales goals required. Strong preference given toprior sales experience in interior or architectural design or luxury retailsales. Candidate must be capable of creating andcommunicating product and / or design solutions in a timely manner andarticulate why to buy from Kohler Signature Stores.
Collegedegree or certificate in architecture or interior design preferred.
Thehourly range for this position is $21.90 - $27.35. The specific hourly rateoffered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors includingthe candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
