This is an exciting and unique opportunity to gain experience in the field of Marketing across both Adult and Childrens publishing, learn the strategy behind building an innovative sales-driving campaign, work with bestselling authors, contribute creatively to promotions, and play an important role managing the essential day-to-day functions of our department.Key Responsibilities:Provide administrative and creative support for marketing campaigns and initiatives across the department.Working closely with the Vice President, Marketing, create and manage the seasonal planning schedule, guiding the Marketing & Publicity team from campaign brainstorming through final distribution of plans to authors and agents.Coordinate biannual sales conferences, including developing and distributing materials, liaising with other departments, and running presentations.Build and launch seasonal digital catalog; maintain marketing elements and pages.Manage seasonal sales materials, including creating and maintaining tracking grids and overseeing NetGalley accounts.Build and maintain budget grids; manage invoice tracking and payments, AMEX coding and general updates and deadlines across the department.Organize various department and divisional meetings, including sending out calendar invites and agendas to attendees and taking and distributing notes.Execute key departmental tasks, including updating marketing plans and other seasonal tracking documents, and processing book orders and mailings.Qualifications Bachelors DegreeInternship experience in marketing, preferably within the publishing industry, a plusA passion for reading and the importance of connecting consumers with booksExcellent written and verbal communicatorDetail-oriented project manager with strong time management skillsAble to balance multiple projects, and is comfortable shifting course and asking for help when neededProven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environmentOpen-minded, innovative, proactive self-starter who can work well independently yet flourishes in a collaborative environmentEasily builds and maintains relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and at different management levelsProficiency in Mac OS and MS Office Suite, with strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPointKnowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram ,Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok, a plusKnowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, a plusCompensation & Benefits: Competitive salary & PTOSummer FridaysTop-notch medical, dental, and vision coverageCompany 401(k) planThis role is based in New York, NY with a 3-day-per-week in office, hybrid work schedule.by Jobble
