Columbus Crew Job Opportunity
Position Summary:The Columbus Crew is looking to add a Social and Digital Media Coordinator to join its growing Marketing & Brand Strategy Department. We are seeking a strategic and collaborative digital teammate to help grow our fanbase, drive revenue, and push the Columbus Crew brand forward. This role will be responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of social and digital media channels, including website and app platforms, for the Crew, Crew 2, Lower.com Field and Historic Crew Stadium. This position will also support with content creation and execution across social media platforms. The coordinator reports to the Digital Strategist. Position Duties:
Oversee the day-to-day management of the Columbus Crew's official app and team website CMS system in close partnership with MLSDevelop digital reporting/ tracking structure and interpret regular reports into actionable insightsIdentify opportunities to use digital technologies to enhance the overall marketing mixCollaborate with team members on a data-capture strategy and executionWork cross-functionally with corporate partnerships to execute on digital asset fulfillmentBuild digital strategy to optimize ticket sales and other revenue streamsCollaborate with team members on content strategy and executionOversee Lower.com Field and Historic Crew Stadium social channels, including building and executing social media content strategy that supports concerts, festivals, events, tournaments and matchesCollaborate with the rest of the marketing and brand strategy team to execute engaging content including graphic designers, photographers, videographers and social/ digital team membersCover events in real-time via social media platforms including player initiatives, sponsorship events, community eventsCreate web pages, forms and other digital assets to support marketing campaignsEnsure brand consistency across owned digital channelsChampions a segmented digital fan experience and advises on messaging architectureOther duties as assignedSpecific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing or related fieldsAt least 2 years of experience in sports, media, technology or related field(s)Demonstrates track record of driving revenue and an elevated fan experience through digital and social channelsDigital savvy with knowledge and comfort of the evolving landscapeStrong work ethic, positive attitude with keen eye for attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to work home and away matches and other select eventsAble to some additional evenings, weekends and eventsAdditional attributes:
Possesses a team-first mindset and emphasizes relationships and collaboration.Has an eagerness to learn and ask questions.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Displays sound judgment in decision making, including an understanding of when to elevate conversations to supervisors and additional soccer and business personnel.Overall knowledge a vast array of digital and social media platforms.Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.Proficiency in programs such as Adobe InDesign preferred, proficiency in Adobe Photoshop a plus.Prior experience and proficiency in Content Management software a plus.Ability to work in a professional environment.Exceptional writing ability.Ability to maintain confidential information.Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.Strong project and time management skills - people, projects, delegating responsibility and more.Individual must be detail-oriented and a self-starter.Other details
