Full Job Description:
We seek a talented and enthusiastic Shopify Front End UX/UI Designer to join our team. You will be tasked with developing custom themes and maintaining the front-end code for all our Shopify Stores and their respective blogs, landing pages, and other customer-facing digital content, ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience for our customers. This hybrid position offers a blend of in-office and remote work, with a split between our office and remote locations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain our Shopify store to optimize revenue generation.
- Design and develop user interfaces for Shopify websites using HTML5, CSS3, and Liquid, adhering to accessibility and browser compatibility standards.
- Implement strategies for Upsells/cross-sells, post-checkout, and reporting to maximize the Average Order Value (AOV) at checkout.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop custom themes, implementing branded customizations and animations on e-commerce sites to enhance the visual appeal and brand identity of online storefronts and blogs
- Utilize native HTML/CSS solutions whenever possible to minimize reliance on JavaScript.
- Integrate and customize Shopify themes and apps to achieve desired functionality.
- Work closely with back-end developers to ensure cohesive store functionality.
- Implement and manage seamless connections with platform APIs, Google, Klaviyo, and other marketing platforms, optimizing the store for peak efficiency and functionality.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the Shopify ecosystem.
Collaborate with the marketing team to implement and optimize Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)- based split test concepts, measuring, tweaking, and implementing successful actions across other storefronts.
- Contribute to optimizing and performing our theme’s core framework for speed and user experience.
- Identify and resolve bugs and technical issues efficiently.
- Work with marketing teams to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience across all digital platforms. This includes overseeing the creation and management of Shopify product listings, enhancing digital merchandising efforts, and implementing advanced SEO and UX/UI optimization strategies.
- Create, launch, and execute weekly email marketing campaigns using Klaviyo, crafting compelling content and engaging visuals to drive customer engagement, retention, and conversion for e-commerce platforms.
- Provide strategic support and improve digital marketing efforts based on data analysis.
- Collaborate with Sales & Ops team members across departments to ensure successful product launches and promotions on partner websites.
- Manage listings throughout the product life cycle, including A/B testing.
- Implement dynamic personalization features across all websites and eCommerce channels, staying current with new Shopify releases and evolving eCommerce industry standards and best practices.
- Support and help implement SEO optimization.
- Manage daily, seasonal, and campaign-specific updates to site-wide.
- Conduct regular web health audits to ensure timely delivery of site updates, communicate new site needs, and initiate new action items based on site performance.
- Support email and SMS campaign activities designed to achieve Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) revenue goals through optimized landing pages.
- Design, develop, and optimize landing pages, ensuring they are visually appealing and optimized for conversions.
- Continuously analyze website and landing page performance, implementing new iterations for A/B testing to refine and enhance conversion rates.
- Report to Operations Manager every week.
- Evaluate the entire eCommerce funnel, identifying and executing opportunities for conversion rate improvements across the board.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in front-end Shopify UX/UI design with a strong understanding of front- and back-end development principles and best practices.
- Expert-level understanding of Shopify’s Admin System and Theme Customization, including shop creation, launch, design, and management.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and Liquid, focusing on clean and maintainable code.
- Experience with Shopify Apps and API development, Klaviyo, META, and Google Analytics.
- Familiarity with Shopify Theme OS 2.0 and its templating system.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven experience building responsive layouts for mobile and web.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Confidence, detail orientation, and high motivation to contribute to a high-performing team.
- Capacity to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Passion for e-commerce and a deep understanding of user experience (UX).
