Job Description
Our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) portfolio is a powerhouse collection of consumer-first brands supported by media industry leaders Comcast, NBCUniversal, and Sky. When you join our team, you'll work across our dynamic portfolio, including Peacock, NOW, Fandango, SkyShowtime, Showmax, and TV Everywhere, powering streaming across more than 70 countries globally. And the evolution doesn't stop there. With unequaled scale, our teams make the most of every opportunity to collaborate and learn from one another. We're always looking for ways to innovate faster, accelerate our growth, and consistently offer the best consumer experience. But most of all, we're backed by a culture of respect. We embrace authenticity and inspire people to thrive.
We’re growing our team of bright, hungry, and upbeat doers who crave the chance to build something new at the epicenter of content, tech, and culture. We need fearless leaders and pop-culture friends who work hard and fan hard. We need creative problem-solvers who just so happen to be the reigning champs at Parks & Rec trivia night. So, if this sounds like you, join our flock. And we promise we won’t put your stapler in Jell-O.
The Director, Program Management, Content & Metadata will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of the Content & Metadata Product portfolio in support of the Peacock technology roadmap and overall Content Experience for our Peacock app and our international joint ventures. This role will oversee a portfolio of programs, projects, and features focused on media supply chain projects, metadata, and content strategy. Success will require building and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external business partners and technology teams to ensure the smooth delivery of features. We are looking for a strong leader in the Content Supply Chain and Metadata space who can help shape the supply chain of the future.
This position will report to the Vice President of Global Delivery. It will work in a highly matrixed structure, indirectly and directly managing global technology teams across NBC, Sky, and the wider Comcast group, as well as within multiple areas of the business, including Product, Design, Data Science, and Engineering teams. This position will directly manage a team of project professionals and will require mentorship and career guidance for this team.
Ensure alignment between product, architecture, and the larger cross-functional landscape.
Regular liaison with resource managers to ensure resources and roadmap slots are secured and maintained; manage contention with other programs, projects, and features.
Lead the initiation and shaping phase of more significant feature initiatives. Work closely with engineers, architects, and analysts to coordinate, drive, and shape the business requirements that solidify the solution's definition.
Ensure regular status reporting across all projects and features, establishing the proper controls within the team to ensure accurate status, proactive risk management, and robust plans.
Act as the first point of escalation, providing assistance and guidance throughout the delivery
Build and drive a large virtual team across a widely distributed organization, ensuring clear communication, dependencies, and a well-articulated, understood, and managed committed roadmap and pipeline against available capacity.
Lead effective communication within internal and external stakeholders and delivery teams, and ensure that the broad teams are clear on goals and objectives.
Ensure quality is considered throughout delivery, working with QA and Trials teams to ensure outputs are thoroughly tested and proven before customer deployment and handed over to support.
Strive for continuous improvement in our processes and procedures and propose and implement changes in partnership with the broader team to ensure a productive and efficient organization.
