JOB SUMMARY:
The Robot Editor I provides direct support for robotic weld production. Ideal candidate will be responsible for working with Robot Programmers, ME's, and Supervisors in a team driven environment to obtain maximum safety, quality, and performance from the robotic processes
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Exhibits a consistently positive attitude and professional demeanor under pressureProvides superior customer service to the Welding Department and all subsequent customersCommunicates effectively with counterparts on other shifts, fosters a healthy team dynamicSupports Robot Team in executing tooling changeovers and maintaining tool storageTroubleshoots and identifies robot weld issuesSustains and adjusts robot jobs as authorizedCarries out daily robot system maintenanceKeeps good housekeeping in and around the robotsOperates robots as needed to build production or test partsCompletes Polaris Weld Test and demonstrates qualification to Polaris Weld StandardsMaintains accurate maintenance & adjustment logsPerforms regular robot weld auditsAccepts other duties as assignedMINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GEDMINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous welding experience and robot operationSPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skillsMust read and interpret engineering prints, processes, and proceduresComprehends Polaris weld visual acceptance criteriaDetail-oriented, self-starterMust have fork lift certification or earn within 3 months of hireCompletion of Polaris operator & editor training within 3 months of hireBasic computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
