Our client, a leading online medical publishing company, is hiring a Content Strategy Contractor consultant on a contract basis.

Summary:
CONTENT STRATEGY CONTRACTOR
Our client is seeking a versatile content strategist dedicated to a special SEO-driven content enhancement project. This strategist will help implement strategic content and inventory management across our consumer health verticals. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with creative problem-solving skills who understands SEO and content performance, and can independently complete content strategy tasks, keep steady communication with collaborators, and calmly tackle contingencies as they arise.
Responsibilities? Make research-informed data-based recommendations for content development? Conduct competitive content analyses? Audit content to identify engagement, SEO, and other performance improvements? Understand both SEO optimization principles and user-first editorial approaches? Manage project components with strict attention to detail and deadlines? Inform best practices for ongoing content improvement? Collaborate with team leaders on process management
Qualifications? 4 years in digital media, with track record of successful content development and delivery? Intermediate-level understanding of SEO tools and best practices? Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment? Ability to work independently and to fluidly switch gears to work collaboratively? Excellent interpersonal skills? Experience researching and analyzing audiences and their needs? Ability to manage processes involving multi-team workflows? Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office, analytics tools, SEO tools
Required Education? Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
? Background in consumer health (conditions + wellness/lifestyle)? Direct experience working on content strategy or design? Master's in journalism, communications, marketing creative writing, or MBA? Ability to train peers in processes, concepts, and tools? Experience with project/task management software (e.g. JIRA, Workfront)? Experience with CMS/publishing? Enthusiasm about identifying improvements and facilitating efficiency
