Overview
The System Designer is the an integral part of the LiveSpace team. The System Designer is responsible for 'championing' the design process - while being collaborative with the entire design team. The System Designer will also support sales by going to site surveys and meetings to collect information related to projects (both billable and speculative).
Core AccountabilitiesAttend external meetings to perform needs analyses as requested. Capture the client's vision so LiveSpace can design the appropriate AVL solutionDesign complete A/V/L systems with a high level of integrityAssist in the management of internal and external communicationComplete design documents as needed including :Quotes/BudgetsFull-scale plansOne-line DrawingsPlans/RenderingsBasic system sketchesScope of work/Project NarrativesCommunication documentsProject ReportsProposals
Research, schedule, and execute system training sessions with customers as neededAssist with final programming and system commissioningWork with the sales team to maintain a positive rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, and recommending system improvements in a timely, professional mannerWork with team leaders to manage and execute general maintenance, repairs and improvements of all company assetsMaintain a safe work environment according to the LiveSpace safety policyBroaden job knowledge by participating in professional developmentWork with the sales team to build and grow business relationships vital to the success of LiveSpaceTravel when necessaryWeeknight, weekend, and holiday travel is common in this role and is often required
Stay current with licenses, certifications, trainings, and any other knowledge-based opportunities. Stay up to date with the latest technological advancements in the AVL industryAssist LiveSpace with fulfilling contracts and work ordersFollow and enforce company policies, including the employee handbookMaintain a positive attitude during all of the above responsibilities
RequirementsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience5 years experience or equivalentIn-depth knowledge of the AVL industryAbility to holistically design AVL systems to completion without oversight
