$50,000 - $60,000 annuallyAbout FIAF:FIAF is a multi-disciplinary educational and cultural organization located in midtown Manhattan. As an independent, not-for-profit organization, FIAF is committed to providing our audience and students with engaging French language classes and audacious multi-disciplinary programming that celebrates the diversity of francophone cultures and creativity around the world. We strive to amplify voices and build bridges from the entire francophone world to New York and beyond. FIAF has an extensive Language Center offering hundreds of French classes, a French Library, and cultural programs ranging from cinema and performing arts to visual arts and social event programs.Position Overview:The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator plays a key role in FIAF’s Marketing team, coordinating with other team members to support the promotion and expansion of FIAF’s various activities. This position, reporting to the Director of Communications, has social media and press relations as its core focus, as described below.Social Media ResponsibilitiesManage social media channelsCollaborate with marketing team members to organize social calendar topics and draft copyCollaborate with design team to create original imagery, video, and Reels content for social media channelsAttend events and Language Center programs to take pictures and videos for social media channelsResearch and develop strategies for each platform, including competitive researchResearch, explore, and develop expanding onto new social platforms, such as Letterboxd, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTokAnalyze and report on social media performance to help inform new strategies and campaigns, providing regular updates during the marketing team meeting and to leadership around learnings and next stepsSend weekly reports to the FIAF President outlining performance and providing recommendationsPressCollaborate with the Director of Communications to create promotional outreach strategy for cultural eventsCreate press kits for each FIAF cultural programWelcome journalists and photographers at cultural events splitting duties with the Director & VPMarketing CoordinationRegularly gather social and press statistics to include in monthly analytics report, and Marketing Director in gathering analytics from each marketing sector andFIAF departmentWork with the rest of the marketing team to update marketing and communication plan documentsQualificationsEducation: Bachelor in a Communications, Marketing, or related field preferredMinimum 1-2 years of proven successful experience in marketing and/or social mediaExperience at an educational, cultural, or art institution is strongly preferredInnovative and creative thinkerAbility to be efficient and effective in a fast-paced environmentMust be available to work select evenings and weekends for FIAF eventsMust have primary or bilingual fluency in written and spoken EnglishAdvanced French language skills are strongly preferredMust have fluency with MS Office and Google SuiteExperience with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere preferredMust be a good team player and communicator, particularly in a multicultural, multi-ethnic, bilingual environmentHow to apply:
