We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The COO will play a pivotal role in the overall business operations, strategic planning, and execution of our manufacturing processes. This role requires a high level of business acumen, leadership, and a proven track record in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in aerospace, avionics, military, and customer management, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the company meets its objectives.
- Develop and implement operational strategies, plans, and procedures in line with the company's vision and goals.
- Drive performance measures for the operation including a consideration of efficiency and productivity, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage relationships with partners, vendors, and clients.
- Direct and manage the supply chain, facilities management, environmental health and safety, sanitation, storm water, and waste treatment operations.
- Oversee and ensure the successful implementation and usage of ERP and accounting systems.
- Drive business expansion initiatives, including potential market research, product development, and launch.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies including Nadcap for non-destructive testing, fluoride phosphate conversion coating, diffused nickel cadmium, bead blasting, water immersion, and masking.
- Implement and leverage artificial intelligence technologies to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Ensure all staff follow industry standard health and safety guidelines.
- Provide mentoring, guidance, and support to the management team under your jurisdiction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in aerospace, avionics, military, and customer management is required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and business expansion.
- Strong understanding of ERP, accounting systems, and artificial intelligence.
- Experience with supply chain management, facilities management, environmental health & safety, sanitation, storm water, and waste treatment.
- Knowledge of non-destructive testing, Nadcap, fluoride phosphate conversion coating, diffused nickel cadmium, bead blasting, water immersion, and masking is a must.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to think outside the box and innovate.
- Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate.
