Location: Washington, Washington, D.C.Job Type: ContractCompensation Range: $24 - 26 per hourWe are currently seeking a skilled Digital Publishing Support Specialist to join our client's dynamic team in Washington D.C.This role will play a pivotal part in supporting our client's various digital platforms and applications that facilitate the dissemination of scholarly content across their family of journals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for ensuring seamless digital publishing experiences. Responsibilities:Collaborate with Content and Web Managers, Executive and Managing Journal Editors, and internal stakeholders to create and send various email newsletters to subscribers.Support Content Manager and other vendors to ensure issue and article publishing schedules are set, updated, and maintained - communicate any changes or updates to key stakeholders.Update relevant email, advertising, marketing, and spreadsheets.Populate email template(s) with required article, advertising, marketing, and podcast information.Work with Editorial team to review and update article-specific content, as needed.Provide sample emails for sponsored content to advertising partner.Update Standard Operating Procedure document(s) with improved processes as needed.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Experience level: Entry LevelMinimum 2 years of experienceBachelor's degree or relevant work experience.Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving skills; and attention to detail.Time management, adhering to strict publishing timelines and prioritizing tasks based on the deadlines.Excellent communication skills.Collaborative, positive attitude, and a strong team work ethic.Motivated, comfortable making decisions and moving forward with limited input, and results-oriented.Strong computer skills - proficient with Office 365 product suite (i.e., Word, Excel, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.).Some knowledge of science publishing, online publishing.Understanding of XML.Experience with project management and collaboration tools - JIRA, Asana, and Confluence is a plus.Experience with SQL server databases is a plus.
