Position Overview:
The Manager, Marketing & Social Media will report directly to the Senior Director, Marketing & Fan Experience and will be responsible for developing & executing comprehensive marketing & social media campaigns for the Renegades. This individual will work collaboratively with all departments to build the Renegades brand, image & personality through traditional & unique marketing avenues, as well as through the Renegades growing social media platforms. A successful candidate will bring fresh ideas, unique perspective, and the ability to think creatively & have FUN!
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Leading in the creation of a unique, creative & engaging annual marketing themeDeveloping & executing an annual marketing plan, including radio, print, outdoor, digital, social media & TVEnsuring brand identity & messaging is consistent across all communicationsManaging key marketing projects to keep them on time, on budget, and on targetPlanning & executing integrated marketing campaigns supporting ticket sales, merchandise sales, database growth, upcoming games, special events, and moreBuild & maintain relationships with media and other strategic partners to maximize in-market reachMonitor & assess marketing analytics as it relates to revenue generation to identify strategic changes & areas of improvementBuilding a personality, tone, voice for each social media platformOversee day-to-day content publishing for all Renegades social accountsAssist in the development and execution of the social media strategy, channel guidelines, goals & audience across all platformsDevelop & manage weekly social publishing calendarsMonitor & assess social media analytics & reporting to identify areas of improvement across platformsLead storytelling initiatives & capture real-time opportunities/trendsSupport all areas of the business (marketing, sales, merchandise, etc.) through social content creationOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degreeMinimum of two (2) years of marketing & social media experienceExperience in sports or entertainment strongly preferred (minor league baseball experience a plus)Excellent communications skillsExperience with copy for marketing assets & external brand communicationsProactive planner with a sense of urgency, creativity, style, and attention to detailWell-developed interpersonal skills & the ability to relate to a wide variety of audiencesProven understanding & experience of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator & Premiere) a plusStrong visual design eye, with regard to graphics, photography and produced video contentKnowledge with social listening & analytics tools preferredSelf-motivator & ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work events, weekends & holidays, including weeks of 40+ hours
