Overview
The Visualization Developer develops software to create complex data analysis and vision solutions including dashboards, ad-hoc reports, and extracts using programming languages and tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, Crystal Reports, Webi etc. Design software for both virtual and physical platforms, to access targeted information/datasets stored in the EDW and generate wide variety of dashboards and reports including management and ad-hoc reports with specialized data requirements. Develop and deploy data solutions, including the entire build life cycle for Epic-Crystal integrated and Hyperspace reports. Translate business requirements into technical design requirements by working with business users, business/data analysts and back-end developers, including ETL Architects/Developers and DW/BI developers. Collaborate with external teams and related functional areas such as product management, IT management, service, implementation and project management to ensure visualization software meets quality standards. Create and implement novel solutions for data analysis, data matching, exception handling, and reporting including new Epic-Crystal reporting and integration tools for model system reports for each DW applications. Coordinate with researchers and subject matter experts to evaluate needs, existing solutions and potential costs. Guide application teams on the integration of new data models into workflows. Participate in a collaborative relationship with leadership and peers to develop and implement processes to promote an integrated delivery system, as well as the tools to assist clinicians in documenting provision of care and positive patient experiences. Work with large and complex datasets to derive and validate models in clinical, operational and financial areas for large healthcare organizations. Design and develop ETL technologies, internal system release testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to facilitate effective and organized issue resolution. Participate in internal system release testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to facilitate effective and organized issue resolution, which includes training of UAT team, application or process change and management of all phases of testing. Review operating processes and define functional requirements. Provide expert architectural guidance on analytics environment.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field, plus two (2) years of software development, application analysis or related experience: developing applications in a healthcare-related setting; developing and delivering data solutions; integrating data models into workflows; utilizing scripting languages, ETL, and Business Intelligence (BI) tools; translating business requirements into technical design requirements; working with large and complex datasets to derive and validate models for healthcare organizations; utilizing the following tools and technologies: SQL, Excel, Tableau, Epic.
