We are seeking a reliable, skilled Maintenance Director who can perform essential upkeep tasks throughout the community (Stephens City & Front Royal, VA). In this position, you must have technical knowledge and the ability to complete the tasks required. The Maintenance Director is responsible for a wide variety of projects such as repairs and cleaning to help create a great living environment for our amazing Residents.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Has awareness and practiced in accordance with the regulations of the state
• Practices good infection control and universal precautions
• Ensures that Maintenance programs are developed and implemented in cooperation with appropriate community departments
• Assists in the development of community-specific fire safety, disaster, and evacuation procedures in compliance with accepted policy and procedure
• Assures that policies and procedures are in compliance with federal state and local regulations
• Conducts monthly fire drills
• Performs all community maintenance as scheduled and required
• Performs duties including but not limited to changing light bulbs; cleaning fixtures; general repairs; plumbing; drywall and paint touch up; maintenance and cleaning of washer and dryer
• Cleans and waxes floors/carpets
• Ensures maintenance projects are completed and supplies are organized and maintained
• Maintains a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for Residents, team members and visitors
• Performs all other duties assigned by the Administrator
• Must attend and/or complete all assigned training to meet DSS regulations
• Responsible for keeping Resident information confidential; respecting Resident rights; respecting privacy
Job Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of rules and regulations for health and safety in maintenance projects
• Must have a wide range of maintenance and management skills
• Knowledge of material costs, budget monitoring
• Must be able to communicate effectively with management, co-workers, and visitors
• Must have an acceptable criminal record check
• Documented TB screening
• Must have or complete CPR/1st Aide within the first 60 days of employment
• Must maintain an acceptable attendance record
• Must perform tasks with grace; works cooperatively with supervisors and display willingness to assist co-workers
• Looks for ways to improve the community function
• Utilizes and applies basic management skills
• Must be capable of performing the duties and responsibilities of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation
