The Data Visualization Analyst for Medscape Education may be the next position for you. Reporting to the Director of Impact and Insights, you will develop data visualizations using varied analytics and visualization tools to be used in reports that identify the impact of education and insights to propel what’s next in meeting the professional development needs of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate has worked in program evaluation and has a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing and effective data visualizations and infographics for audiences of varying levels of technical expertise. The Data Visualization Analyst must have experience managing multiple projects and working with a variety of stakeholders, including clinical strategy, outcomes, data analytics, and creative services.
Responsibilities include:Design, develop, implement, and maintain reporting solutions using data visualization tools
Translate and refine requests into actionable objectives
Analyze and translate non-technical user requirements into reporting specifications
Maintain detailed documentation of multiple, simultaneous projects
Serve as an operational data visualization expert for the team
Turn raw data in elegant, easy-to-understand data visualizations
Be a collaborative member of the outcomes and insights team to tell effective data-driven stories visually
Curate data into effective data-driven stories using Tableau, PowerPoint, and Excel using brand and style guidelines
Make recommendations for and create scalable data visualization solutions
Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in computer science, data analytics, or a relevant discipline with minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in education and/or healthcare related field
Content knowledge in medical education, public health, and/or health care
Demonstrated experience in data visualization and management using PowerBI, Tableau, or related tool (Tableau preferred)
High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Ability to learn/use cloud-based software systems (e.g. Workfront, SharePoint)
Expertise in SQL for data manipulation and analysis
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly deadline-driven environment, while taking into consideration stakeholders based across multiple time zones
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative setting
Demonstrable critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and high degree of initiative
Exceptional focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency of work
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
Positive attitude/high energy with a willingness to accept varied assignments
Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree in public health, communications, or related field
Experience working in a for-profit, fast-paced setting
Experience in continuing medical education or healthcare analytics
