Overview:
This position plays a pivotal role in using the implementation of best practices in web design, search engine optimization, and accessibility for the Health Care District of Palm Beach Countys web presence in order to create an exceptional user experience that meets the needs of our customers and reaches new audiences. The position is a member of our communications team to ensure our websites are visually engaging, user-friendly, and aligned with our brand's identity.This role reports primarily in-person with one day/week remote.Candidates are encouraged to include relevant case studies and work samples with application materials.Responsibilities:Essential Functions:Understand and gather business requirements and translate them into unique user experiences.Work strategically with leadership and departments across the Health Care District to help determine the best use of the website for their respective areas.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and objectives.Comprehend user feedback to guide design decisions.Communicate concepts, strategy, and the rationale behind design decisions.Manage and optimize the websites user experience to drive engagement.Implement A/B testing and user research to continually refine the website's user experience.Create and design wireframes, interactive prototypes, website layouts, user flows, and site maps for the Health Care District website.Create templates and guidelines to ensure appropriate levels of visual branding are consistent across the website.Design and continually improve interfaces that are responsive and adaptable to different devices and screen sizes.Maintain and expand our UI library and style guide to ensure consistent design across our digital offerings.Create and update website pages, layouts, and user interfaces by using HTML / CSS.Ensure website accessibility by following current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).Manage the website, including writing, optimizing, editing, and removing outdated content.Maintain, proof, and write efficient website content pages that properly utilize SEO best practices.Research, fact-check and proofread writing to ensure high quality output, aligned with our brands' tone, voice and standards.Monitoring of digital reputations of practice and physicians.Respond to and troubleshoot website issues.Perform configuration and administration of the CMS platform.Train and support team members on the CMS platform usage and best practices.Monitor and analyze website performance, utilizing analytics tools to identify areas for improvement and growth.Stay updated with the latest UX/UI trends and techniques in order to keep the Health Care Districts websites at the forefront of web technology and design.Manage all SEO activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks.Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization.Work with marketing team to drive SEO in content creation and content programming.Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing.Write compelling long-form website copy as well as effective headlines, taglines, and calls to action.Track, report, and analyze website performance, PPC initiatives, and campaigns.Create and post content, including news and announcements, on the Health Care Districts employee-facing intranet.
Qualifications:Education:BS in computer science, web design, graphic design or related discipline. Equivalent combinations of education/experience may be considered.Experience:Minimum 2 years experience with website design, UX/UI, SEO, content writing, and website content management systems. Experience in UX/UI design and graphic design is a plus.Other Requirements:Proficient in design software (e.g., InVision, Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, Illustrator).Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Strong portfolio showcasing digital product designs and content writing.In-depth experience with HTML5 and CSS3.Knowledgeable with current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).A solid understanding of healthcare compliance, HIPAA, and PHI when related to marketing, website, and email management.Knowledgeable with Meta Ads, Google Marketing Platform, Google Ads, or other social media marketing platforms.Experience managing PPC campaigns.Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms.Knowledge of Google Analytics.Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to be a self-starter and prioritize tasks accordingly.Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of JavaScript, XML, JSON, JQUERY, AngularJS, React, TypeScript, RESTful API, PHP, MySQL, SQL and/or NET C#, ASP.NET a plus.Health Care District of Palm Beach County is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free Workplace.
