ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and passionate brand leader who possesses strong commercial acumen to join our marketing team. The Director of Brand Marketing for New Platforms is a strategic role for Reynolds American that will work to deliver dynamic, engaging, and fully integrating marketing plans. This role will be responsible for directing & executing the brand marketing strategy for a new brand within the New Platforms space. Doing so will require translation of relevant consumer insights and commercial objectives into meaningful marketing activities that drive Adult Nicotine Consumer (ANC) engagement. This role also requires a high level of engagement and collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners on go-to-market strategies, to ensure net sales and margin targets.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
Develop & execute the brand marketing strategy
Drive and deliver all brand commercial objectives
Lead operational plan development to drive brand goals that is inclusive of a consumer marketing plan that resonates with the brand’s Adult Tobacco Consumers (ATCs)
Lead creative agencies.
Coordinate with commercial teams to deliver the brand performance (consumer base, revenue, share and profit)
Manage & inspire team members to achieve the brand objectives/KPIs
Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams including; Creative Agencies, Digital Marketing and Activation, Finance, Trade Marketing, Operations, R&D, Legal, & External Relations to execute the plan and achieve brand objectives/KPIs
Ensure that corporate strategy and regulatory guidelines are managed and met across all marketing initiatives
Bring the brand to life across the various marketing and distribution channels
Manage, drive, execute and measure performance of new product launches
Serve as a brand steward across the cross functional teams
Establish clear brand standards and ensure execution against these brand standards
Gain support for new ideas, strategy shifts and lead change throughout the organization where/when appropriate

Successful launch of new brand in emerging category, that achieves commercial and equity targets – market share, revenue, profit, awareness; engagement consideration, etc.
Innovative marketing mix and efficient budget management.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor’s Degree required
10 + years relevant marketing experience
Proven expertise in marketing management fundamentals
Demonstrated track record of successful, innovative problem solving and leadership that resulted in market share gains and/or business improvement
Track record of innovation within marketing & communications: a strategic leader who takes initiative and ownership
Functional Area expertise and working understanding of the marketing process
Deep understanding of pricing in tobacco or other relevant category
Proven ability to passionately lead and motivate a high performing marketing team to achieve superior performance
Proven ability to successfully drive P&L objectives across a very large scope of business
Demonstrated leadership in driving success of very large and impactful corporate goals
Strong planning, budgetary skills
Ability to effectively manage and work with third party agencies
Excellent communication, problem-solving & influencing skills, including personal presentation, emails and building presentation

Experience in sales/trade/distribution preferred
