Sounds True, founded in 1985, is a multimedia publisher specializing in spirituality, holistic living, and transformational learning. We are seeking a full-time Audiobook Editor to join our team to edit and mix approximately 25 audiobooks per year in alignment with Sounds True’s production standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Editing and mixing approximately 25 audiobooks per year per company’s established quality standards and guidelines from audiobook director
• Meeting deadlines, editing, and delivering audiobook products
• Communicating regularly with the Audio Project Manager, Sounds True Studios or outside vendors to align with production standards
• A genuine interest and connection to the content Sounds True publishes and our mission
• As needed, providing Audiobook Directing support for audiobook directors and producers

Recommended Skills/Qualifications/Job Requirements:

• 2-3 years of audiobook editing experience
• Ability to follow direction and execute editing notes from recording sessions
• 2-3 years of audio mixing experience
• Proficient with Reaper Digital Audio Workstation (DAW)
• Successful at managing and meeting deadlines in a self-directed manner
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

This role is open to fully remote candidates. The compensation range for this position is $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year depending on experience and the location of the candidate.
