Regional Sales Manager

The Regional Sales Manager (aka Licensing Manager) will develop existing and prospective Government accounts, primarily the Health and Human Services and related institutions.
The successful candidate will bring their experience licensing content to or for governmental agencies and a deep understanding of the governmental procurement and licensing process. This person will proactively manage their territory with a support matrix of Account Developers, Sales Support, Marketing and Database Sales Managers and will report to the Director, Institutional Sales. They will join a collaborative, committed and dynamic Sales team that has won Global Springer Nature awards three years in a row.

Job Duties:
* Drive sales growth with established and newly prospected customers
* Increase client satisfaction through a deep understanding of their needs
* Attend conferences, make site visits and presentations
* Produce sales/business reports and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
* Collaborate with internal departments and staff throughout the sales process
* Perform ad hoc duties as needed

Job Requirements:
* Candidates should have their Bachelor’s degree with minimum of three (3) years prior sales and/or three (3) years governmental procurement experience
* Experience in the Scientific, Technical and Medical (STM) publishing and/or licensing digital solutions to or within government institutions
* Experience presenting to groups of peers, management and clients. 
* Personable and detail-oriented with strong communication (written and oral), organizational and time management skills
* Strong computer skills in databases, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Ability to travel domestically as required 25-35% as seasonally appropriate
