Managing Editor, The Financial Diet

This person will:

  • Work closely with the Head of Content to strategically lead and manage the TFD website’s editorial calendar, including sponsored content
  • Manage the ideating, editing, and formatting of 2-3 new TFD articles per weekday
  • Oversee website freelance budget, working with freelancers, pitches, and TFD team members
  • Regularly write original, thoughtful, and shareable content for the TFD website
  • Work with social media and YouTube leads to strategically repurpose and redistribute website content and implement our cross-platform promotional strategies on the TFD website
  • Closely track website analytics and implement strategies to reach short- and long-term growth goals
  • Work with the rest of the content team to produce and strategize TFD’s weekly newsletter

Applicant requirements:

  • 5-7 years of editorial experience with an online publisher, preferably in money, budget lifestyle, career, or other related vertical
  • A solid understanding of TFD’s ethos and core audience, and a keen understanding of the sensitive nature of writing about money
  • Excellent attention to detail, copy editing, and line editing skills
  • A good sense of copy that “works,” and the ability to create eye-catching, engaging headlines
  • Proficiency in WordPress and Google Suite
  • Fluent understanding of Google and platform-specific analytics
  • Substantial project and editorial calendar management experience
